UPDATE: Nicholas has been doing my hair for over a year now! He’s fantastic and I would never dream of going to anyone else! Still highly recommend both him and this salon in general. First photos are from a year ago and the second two are from today. Nicholas did an amazing job on my hair! I came in with uneven brassy highlights and left with this beautiful perfectly blended balayage! 😍 The salon is beautiful and all of the staff were friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody in the area!

I've been seeing Emma at Jon Richard Salon in Cranston for the past year but have followed her from different salons for almost 4 years! She’s a color goddess and expert! I came to her initially for a better haircut (which she totally delivered on) and since then I’ve had her cutting and coloring my hair, most recently transforming my hair into a beautiful and dimensional balayage (twice this year). I have long hair down to my mid to lower back so if you’ve got a ton of hair and are thinking you can’t afford to go that often, she’s VERY reasonably priced for the high quality of service that you’re getting. Additionally, if you can’t go that often or feel like you can’t keep up with high maintenance coloring and want the benefits of the balayage, Emma will give you the best solution so that your hair will look stunning even as it grows out. I got compliments on a 3 month old color this summer! She always listens to what I want and explains the process but will NEVER let you talk yourself into a haircut that will be unflattering. The salon itself is clean and welcoming, and I always leave feeling 1000x better about myself and taken care of. I always get compliments on the color that she does. If you're looking for a skilled colorist in Cranston or Rhode Island, I highly highly recommend booking with Emma at Jon Richard Salon!!

On 6/4/25 Nicholas performed a hair miracle on me! After my long time hairdresser passed away and also having my first child, it took me over a year to muster the courage to find a new hairdresser. I conducted endless research of reading reviews, and looking at photos and then I stumbled upon some of the work that Nicholas has done and I made an appointment! I walked into the bright and airy chic salon and was greeted with a friendly warm and welcoming face that belonged to Nicholas! My hair was hidden under an old baseball cap as it was absolutely atrocious; a complete abomination. My highlights had grown out over 9 inches and my dark roots were taking over my entire head, my ends were split, sparse, and straggly and I felt like I didn’t know who I was anymore when I looked in the mirror. After a few hours in Nicholas’ chair, he twirled me around to look into the mirror and my eyes immediately started to well up; I saw a person who I hadn’t seen in over a year! Nicholas is a true artist of his craft and his passion for beautifying all who have the great honor to sit in his chair radiates and shines into the work that he does. Nicholas, you have yourself a new and loyal customer- hope you’re okay with that! Lol… Thank you so deeply much for bringing me back to life!!!
